Shan Jenkins, owner, has a unique ability to listen and discern each client’s vision for their project while also bringing his vast construction expertise to the conversation. This, combined with his focus on the science of building, allows him to design and build beautiful and lasting structures that are perfectly customized to meet each client’s individual needs.
Shan holds an undergraduate degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University as well as an MBA from St. Thomas University. Post graduation, he worked nearly 10 years for commercial construction companies like Hensel Phelps and Kellogg Brown & Root, which provided him the opportunity to work on large projects like Power Optimization Plants, Chemical Plants, and even the very first Recycling Facility in Texas.

After several successful years in residential construction, Jenkins started SL Jenkins Construction Company to return to his roots in commercial contracting. “There are similarities in commercial and residential,” states Jenkins. “However, the commercial business typically tends to focus more on schedule because time is typically more valued by the client.
