SL Jenkins Construction Company is owned by Shan L. Jenkins, owner of award-winning and top-10 custom home building company, Jenkins Custom Homes. Jenkins’ background is commercial construction, working over 10 years in the industry for such names as Hensel-Phelps and Brown & Root before starting his own company in 1992.
After several successful years in residential construction, Jenkins started SL Jenkins Construction Company to return to his roots in commercial contracting. “There are similarities in commercial and residential,” states Jenkins. “However, the commercial business typically tends to focus more on schedule because time is typically more valued by the client. While we have no problem meeting stringent schedules, we can bring additional added value to the project via our award-winning quality control methodology and relationships with the top craftsmen in the industry.
